Artist &
graphics programmer

The world as waves.

Interdisciplinary new media artist working in sound and light installation, with a focus on perception and consciousness. MFA Visual Arts, Emily Carr University, 2013; BA Visual Arts, Iceland University of the Arts, 2011.

Fourteen years as a graphics programmer across game development, industrial visualization, mobile applications, and creative technology projects. Looking for roles as a creative technologist in experiential installations and web graphics.

I think of the world in terms of waves. Everything can be described as frequency and amplitude. Shape, sound, light, it's all the same language. I'm interested in making new experiences by transforming waves from one medium into another.

These waves aren't limited to the world around us. The brain empathizes with what's around it, and emotions can be measured as electrical impulses, their own combination of frequencies and amplitudes. I make work that transcodes the emotional content of the external world into something the brain understands intuitively, not logically.
